Glue-Down LVT vs. Click-Lock SPC

We stock the exact specifications required by commercial property managers and real estate developers across New York and New Jersey.

Glue-Down LVT

The Commercial Workhorse. Essential for high-traffic corridors, medical suites, and rental properties.

Rigid Core SPC

The Fast-Track Solution. Perfect for fast apartment flips, basement build-outs, and renovations over imperfect subfloors.

COMMERCIAL DURABILITY

Built to Survive Heavy Traffic

Always insist on a premium wear layer. We supply LVT and SPC with a minimum 20-mil to 28-mil commercial wear layer, coated in ceramic bead or aluminum oxide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, our commercial-grade SPC and luxury vinyl options are completely waterproof and ideal for multi-family developments, kitchens, and commercial bathrooms.

Yes, rigid core SPC is designed to bridge minor subfloor imperfections, making it an excellent choice for installing directly over existing hard surfaces like ceramic flooring without telegraphing grout lines.

The wear layer is the clear protective coating over the vinyl’s design layer. For commercial applications, you need a minimum 20-mil wear layer to prevent scratches, dents, and traffic patterns. We stock 20-mil to 28-mil options.

Yes, we provide flush stair nosings, reducers, and T-moldings that perfectly match the color and texture of your chosen LVT or SPC flooring.

Absolutely. Both our Glue-Down LVT and Click-Lock SPC contain zero wood fibers, meaning they will not swell, warp, or buckle when exposed to standing water or high humidity.

SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) features a limestone core, making it incredibly dense and resistant to heavy impacts and temperature fluctuations. WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) is slightly softer underfoot but less durable for commercial applications. We primarily supply commercial-grade SPC.

For environments with heavy rolling loads (like hospital beds, hotel luggage carts, or heavy pallet jacks), we strictly recommend our Glue-Down LVT, as click-lock joints can separate under extreme rolling pressure.

Our Rigid Core SPC planks typically come with an attached EVA or IXPE acoustic pad, meaning no separate underlayment is required unless your building board specifies a higher IIC rating. Glue-down LVT requires a perfectly smooth subfloor and does not use a pad.

Maintenance is extremely simple. Routine sweeping and damp mopping with a pH-neutral cleaner is all that is required. No waxing or polishing is necessary thanks to the aluminum oxide wear layer.

Absolutely. We supply high volumes of commercial glue-down LVT and click-lock vinyl flooring for fast deployment in office and retail environments.

Our wholesale LVP products feature heavy-duty commercial wear layers ranging from 12mil to 28mil, designed for extreme durability in high-traffic areas.

Many of our SPC and luxury vinyl lines come with pre-attached high-density acoustic padding to meet NYC sound transmission (IIC/STC) building codes.
